Glenn: Lymphoma patient & Ultimate Fitness client

40-year-old Glenn from New Zealand lives in Finland with his wife and two young children. In 2015 he was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. After initial chemotherapy, the disease went into remission and he was given the all clear. Unfortunately, the disease returned in  2018 and Glenn started another course of chemotherapy in October of that same year.

Glenn now faces the prospect of the biggest challenge of his life: large dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell replacement. He has been warned by his doctors that the treatment alone could be life-threatening. Faced with this prospect, Glenn decided to make some changes to his diet and lifestyle in order to give himself the best possible chance of beating both the disease itself and surviving the treatment. This is when he started to find out about a low-inflammation, ketogenic diet and high-intensity strength training. As of writing, he has been training with Ultimate Fitness for 7 months.

This is his story in his own words..

  1. I’m sorry to say that Glenn passed away in July of this year.

After being told he could go back to work in March this came as a great blow to everyone.
My thoughts are with his family, especially his wife and 2 young sons.
